How Does leasing Work

Case Study

A Need to Refresh

A well-established retailer with a large distribution center was using more than 150 of the ubiquitous Motorola MC9200 scanners which were about 7 years old and beginning to require more frequent maintenance to keep operational. The retailer was primarily interested in doing a complete technology refresh of their barcode scanners with a preference for the Zebra MC9300 but budgetary constraints made it difficult to get approval for a full refresh.

Product Evaluation and Selection
Barcode Leasing provided the end user several models for testing and a proof of concept as they were uncertain if they wanted to move forward with an updated version of their existing device, consider an alternative brand, or go with a different style of device such as wearable scanners or phone style. After several months of testing several devices provided by Barcode Leasing, the user feedback was it would be easier to move forward with a current iteration of their existing models so the adoption of the technology would be easier…similar keypads, similar scan engine performance, and able to re-use some accessories.

Financial Services
Because Barcode Leasing provides the hardware and financial services, the process was fast and easy to select a leasing product and obtain fast approval. In this case, the customer selected a 48-month term lease which includes new Zebra MC9300 scanners, 3 Year Depot Service Warranty, and Soti device management software.
